Section 10
Investigation of Complaints
(1) If during the preliminary investigation according to section 9, it is found that the rights and interests of the Dalit community have been adversely affected, the Commission may conduct an investigation on such complaint by itself or by forming a committee as required or by the authorized staff of the Commission as prescribed.
(2) During the investigation according to sub-section (1), the commission, the investigation committee or the authorized staff of the investigation shall have the following rights:- (a) To obtain information by bringing any person to the presence of any person,
(b) compel any person to produce any document or document or evidence,
(c) Conduct on-site inspections as required,
(d) Taking any document related to the subject of investigation or its copy from any government or public office.
(3) After completion of the investigation according to sub-section (1), the report shall be submitted to the Commission.
(4) Other provisions related to investigation of complaints shall be as prescribed.
